OUR

SERVICES

Clinical Pilates is a modification of the traditional Pilates method performed under the supervision of a physiotherapist. It is a type of therapeutic exercise adapted to the clinical condition and needs of each individual, focusing on muscle strengthening, improving posture and balance, increasing flexibility and relieving pain, promoting well-being and body functionality.

Due to its excellent results, its evolution has been very rapid throughout the world, and its demand is increasingly greater.

Pelvic physiotherapy is an area of physiotherapy that focuses on the treatment and prevention of muscular and functional disorders of the abdominopelvic region. It aims to improve muscle strength, mobility and coordination, helping to restore functional balance and reduce symptoms. Pelvic physiotherapy treats problems such as urinary, fecal or gas incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain and sexual dysfunction and also plays a fundamental role in preparing for childbirth and postpartum recovery.

Musculoskeletal physiotherapy is an area that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of dysfunctions of the musculoskeletal system, which involves muscles, joints, bones, tendons and ligaments. In other words, it treats and prevents pathologies or conditions such as back pain, neck pain, tendonitis, lumbago, arthrosis, among others, with the aim of relieving pain, improving mobility and restoring functionality, through various therapeutic techniques and approaches – manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, dry needling, among others.

Dry needling is used to treat myofascial pain and involves inserting fine needles (similar to those used in acupuncture) into specific points in the muscles – trigger points – that can cause localized or referred pain and muscle dysfunction. The objective of dry needling is to deactivate these points, relieving muscle pain, reducing tension and promoting relaxation of muscle fibers. By stimulating the body’s response, the treatment can also improve circulation and speed up tissue recovery.

This approach is combined with other physiotherapy techniques, such as manual therapy, stretching and therapeutic exercises, and is quite effective in recovering from and preventing injuries.

Manual lymphatic drainage and pressotherapy are techniques used to improve lymphatic and blood circulation, and help remove fluids and toxins from the body. Both are frequently used in situations of venous edema, lymphedema, post-surgery or after injuries, and can be complementary.

Manual lymphatic drainage is a gentle, rhythmic massage that stimulates the lymphatic system, promoting increased lymph flow and facilitating the elimination of unwanted substances from the body. This technique is not performed with cream and is painless. It can be applied in cases of fluid retention such as post-operative, lymphedema, pregnancy and postpartum.

Pressotherapy (intermittent pneumatic pressure) involves the use of a device that applies pressure in a controlled and gradual manner, promoting the activation of circulation and helping to reduce swelling. It is often used to improve blood and lymphatic circulation, reduce fluid retention and aid muscle recovery. It has some contraindications, so a prior evaluation by a physiotherapist is necessary.
